We worked with international Intellectual Property consultancy, ClearViewIP, to produce a focused, modern & responsive website redesign.
ClearViewIP are an international Intellectual Property consultancy and were looking for a modern website redesign. Their existing website did not accurately convey the scale at which they worked, nor did it adequately outline the wide range of services the company offers.
Visually, the site was outdated and was not responsive. Technically, there was no way for ClearViewIP staff members to self manage the content within the site.
We helped structure the companies content, providing a logical journey for site visitors throughout the site. The journey was crafted to fit particular goals that had been identified for potential site visitors.
We designed and built a fully responsive website backed by a customised WordPress interface to enable ClearViewIP staff to edit the content themselves.
Right from the beginning of our relationship with Rareloop we were very impressed with their understanding of our business, industry and requirements for our new website. They guided us in clarifying our objectives and managed to come up with a fresh and contemporary structure and design while maintaining the requirement to look professional. During the design and build stages, they were always responsive to requests for changes but also didn’t hesitate to provide strong recommendations based on the current best practices and need to 'future proof' our site. They also helped us during a delicate hosting migration by taking all the stress out of it. The design process started by working with ClearViewIP to identify the target audience for their website. Building personas and identifying their motivation & goals for visiting the site was an important starting point. By taking this user centered approach we were confident that our proposed design was an effective solution to ClearViewIP's specific website needs rather just a redecoration of their old templates.
With the audience understood, we reviewed ClearViewIP's existing website and articles and produced a concise and effective content structure that both matched the goals of the audience but that would also be easily maintainable. In consultation with ClearViewIP we were able to refocus many aspects of their content, reducing copy and complexity by tailoring it to that of the personas we'd outlined.
Building on this site structure we prototyped the key landing pages of the site using lo-fi wireframing techniques. By tailoring the messaging on each page we crafted a pre-defined journey to lead visitors from whereever they arrived to the contact page, whilst educating them about the company and its services along the journey.
