Background

Ship Visitor is a digital platform that supports seafarer welfare across the globe, enabling volunteers from organisations such as The Mission to Seafarers to record, manage, and coordinate ship visits more effectively.

We originally designed and built the Ship Visitor app several years ago. Since then, we’ve continued to support, maintain, and evolve the platform as it has scaled significantly, helping welfare organisations connect with and support over one million seafarers worldwide.

As the platform matured and its reach expanded, ownership transitioned to The Mission to Seafarers, who become the new stewards of Ship Visitor. This marked an important new chapter for the product and create an opportunity to refresh how it was presented to the wider world.

The Challenge

The challenge was to create a lightweight marketing website that clearly communicated Ship Visitor’s mission and Value, while staying true to the refreshed visual identity and keeping the experience simple and accessible for a global audience.

The Solution

We designed and built a clean, modern brochure site that introduces Ship Visitor to new audiences. The design carries through the refreshed visual identity from the app, combining bold typography, maritime-inspired imagery, and a structured layout to clearly communicate the platform’s features and benefits.

The site serves as a marketing touchpoint for the product, highlighting key information and providing clear calls to action for those interested in learning more or adopting the platform.

The Results

  • The new website now acts as a clear entry point for organisations discovering Ship Visitor for the first time.
  • It equips The Mission to Seafarers with a focused marketing tool that explains the platform’s purpose, value and impact, while reinforcing trust through a consistent, modern visual identity aligned with the app.

This project demonstrated how a well-executed website can play an important role in supporting adoption and communicating mission at a global scale.
