Where AI fits in digital products: Take part in our 2026 digital product survey

AI has dominated the conversation around technology for the past two years. From copilots and chatbots to content generation and workflow automation, there’s no denying it’s potential to reshape how teams are working.

But there’s still uncertainty. How are organisations actually using AI today? What role will it play in their products and systems next year? And what’s standing in the way of wider adoption?

That’s what we want to find out.

Why we’re running this survey

At Rareloop, we design and build bespoke digital products and systems for organisations that are growing, scaling and evolving. We’ve been helping clients streamline and automate parts of their business for years, from reducing manual admin and connecting systems, to building tools that cut hours out of everyday workflows.

More recently, clients want to implement AI into their workflows, but are unsure of where it fits, what’s realistic, if it’s the right thing and how to adopt it responsibly.

It’s not surprising. AI is everywhere right now, in headlines, product updates, and boardroom discussions. For many times, it feels like something they should be doing, but they’re not always sure what that looks like in practice.

We’ve noticed a growing sense of curiosity mixed with hesitation.

  • Should we be building AI chatbots into our websites?
  • Exploring AI-powered workflows to speed up operations?
  • Or focusing on automation first, and layering AI later?

We want to understand how people are feeling about AI, where companies are really at, how far along they are (or aren’t), and what it all means for the future of digital products.

Because while AI dominates the conversation, we suspect adoption isn’t quite as advanced as it seems. Many organisations are still exploring what’s possible, what’s safe, and where the genuine opportunities lie.

This survey aims to capture that picture, to learn how teams are approaching AI today, what their hopes and concerns are for 2026, and where they see it adding real value to their digital products and systems.

What we’re hoping to learn

This short survey explores:

  • How organisations are currently using AI within their products, systems and internal tools
  • What their priorities and use cases are for 2026
  • The biggest challenges to adoption (from compliance to confidence)
  • Where teams see the most potential for AI in the future

We’ll be analysing the results and publishing them in our upcoming AI in Digital Products 2026 Whitepaper, launching in January.

Everyone who takes part will receive a copy of the report, giving you early access to the latest insights on adoption trends, challenges and opportunities.

Our prediction

We predict 2026 will be the year AI becomes less about experimentation and more about integration, where intelligent systems quietly enhance existing workflows rather than trying to replace them. We suspect the organisations that see the biggest gains will be the ones who design systems where human and AI work together efficiently.

We also have a working theory that AI isn’t just another layer of technology, it’s the next major catalyst for digital transformation. Transformation doesn’t happen overnight and we want to understand how close (or far) organisations are from making that shift.

Take part in the survey

The survey takes less than five minutes to complete and it open to anyone involved in digital product strategy, delivery or innovation.

Your insight will help us build a clearer picture of where AI really fits in the future of digital products, and how teams like yours are preparing for what’s next.
